Alex

Just a traveling man, is Alex.  His origins are murky, coming from Martinsville, Indiana.  Sadly, so many dogs just like Alex never find their way to the promised land that is New Hampshire Humane Society, a place where they will eventually find love and happiness with a permanent adoptive home.

Alex is one of the lucky ones, he arrived at the shelter not long ago.  We say right away folks liked the look of him but he was already being passed over in favour of younger, cuter pups. Just three years old, a handsome Shepherd mix, just waiting to give his all to a family he can call his own. Alex is well mannered, sociable a truly wonderful animal. His soulful brown eyes tell so much of his life experiences so far.

Alex has yet one more hurdle to overcome.

He has been diagnosed Heartworm positive.

NHHS wants to provide treatment for him but desperately need a foster home for his convalescence – approximately six to eight weeks.

Sponsoring Alex during his medical treatment would be so welcome. If so, click HERE to access the Sponsor A Pet Form.

Perhaps you can offer a safe, quiet home for him as a foster parent?

To discuss either of these options, please call Marylee at 524-8236x309 or email
