Our Adoption Process

ADOPTING FROM US: Our goal is to match our furry friends with your family and lifestyle. When you visit our facility, our knowledgeable staff is ready to assist you in your big decision. We’ll work with you to determine which animal best fits your lifestyle.

SCHEDULING YOUR VISIT:

During the week we are open by appointment only to applicants who have already been approved for adoption.

On the weekends we are open for walk-in hours between 11 and 3PM.

REQUIRED APPLICATION: To visit during the week we require that you submit an application on our website and wait for a member of our staff to reach out to you to discuss our current population. During these visits you are given one-on-one time with a member of our staff to answer any questions regarding our current animal population, including behavioral and medical history.

PROCESS: While visiting if you meet your match, we are able to do same day adoptions! All animals that are up to date on their medical and behavioral evaluations will be able to start their new life with you that day if we find a match for your home and lifestyle.

 

WHAT IS INCLUDED: Included with all adoptions is a copy of all previous medical information (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip), a sample bag of the current food they are eating to help ease the transition to the food you plan on feeding at home, any toys or bedding the pet has grown attached to while here, and pet-specific resources to better assist in the transition from shelter life to home living.

FEES: The fee for adoption is to offset the expense of care and the adoption process. The fee is not a purchase price for the pet selected. For that reason, refunds are only offered on a case-by-case basis. If the animal has been seen by a veterinarian and is unwell in way that was not known at the time of adoption, a refund will be issued. All other refunds are solely at the discretion of the organization.
