Memorials

Our four legged family members are the intrinsic link to happiness and serenity in our busy lives. The grief we experience with the loss of our beloved pets is normal but always a painful transition to remembering  them fondly. Check out Do You Remember Love it will warm your heart at a difficult time.

There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth.

It is called the Rainbow Bridge, because of its many colors. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge, there is a land of meadows, hills, and valleys with lush green grass.

When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water and warm spring weather. The old and frail animals are young again. Those who are maimed are made whole again. They play all day long with each other.

There is only one thing missing. They are not with their special person who loved them on Earth. So, each day they run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up. The nose twitches! The ears are up! The eyes are staring! And this one suddenly runs from the group.

You have been seen, and when you and your special friend meet, you take him in your arms and embrace. Your face is kissed again and again, and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated.

A Memorial or Tribute Gift is an ideal way to remember or honor your loved ones, while at the same time supporting the NHHS.

For a minimum contribution of $25, we will send you an acknowledgement of your gift while the individual or group you designate will receive a Memorial or Tribute Card informing them that a gift to NHHS has been made in their name. You are also invited to send us a brief obituary and photo of your loved one who has passed. We would be honored to display their image in the memorial section of this page for 3 months.

Please send a check payable to NHHS with your name and address, type of gift you are requesting, (ie. Memorial, Tribute, Birthday, Holiday) Name of person or pet being memorialized/honored, and who we should send the acknowledgement to with their mailing address.

Please allow at least two weeks for delivery.

Or if you wish, you can make an online donation. Please click the make a donation button and please make sure you put in the comments section who you would like memorialized. Thank you.

Beau
September 1, 1993 - April 28, 2008

Beau came to live with us in January 1997, we were his 3rd family, and his forever home. Beau was a very happy Golden Retriever who always wanted to please right to the end. He enjoyed good times with his best girlfriend TAVA 10-8-1993---6/12/2005 who shared her home with him. Beau and Tava were very well known in the neighborhood. We miss them both, but know that they are together again having fun.

Acadia

Acadia was a great dog and companion to everyone who met him, as long as it was on his time. Over his many years he climbed many New Hampshire mountains and climbed into many hearts...he will be missed by all of his two and four legged friends.

Rocky Cote

March 1, 2000 - August 11, 2007

Rocky was adopted from the NHHS in March of 2005. He recently suffered a ruptured disk in his neck, despite weeks of medical treatment Rocky did not make it and has crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. His family remembers him as loving dog who always had a great understanding of things. He "lived for" chasing balls and sticks, he never tired of playing.

Rocky will always hold a special place in his families hearts and will be greatly missed.
