59 Pets Adopted During NH Humane Society's Annual Holiday Adopt-A-Thon Event

The NH Humane Society offered a different type of shopping experience during the 2018 holiday season by inviting community members to the annual Adopt-A-Thon --- on-site for the first time in 12 years at the Meredith Center Road location.  “Doggone Friday” was held on November 23, and “Caturday” occurred on November 24.  In total, 27 puppies and adult dogs, and 32 kittens and adult cats were adopted through the event and welcomed into new homes.

“This year’s annual Adopt-A-Thon was such a great success,” said Tony Matos, NH Humane Society board president. “Individuals were lined up outside our doors well before we opened, which truly added to the excitement of each day.  This is our biggest event of the year and we are thrilled about the level of support we received from our community.  Thank you to all of our employees, volunteers, our adopters, and everyone who joined the NH Humane Society to make the 2018 Adopt-A-Thon event extra special.”

Adoption counselors were on-site on November 23 and 24 interviewing potential parents, walking them through the adoption process and pairing them with a pet that matched well with their personality, and other potential pets in their home.  Local pet vendors were also in attendance, adding to this very unique holiday experience.
