NH Humane Society Welcomes Lisa Caputo as Operations Director

The NH Humane Society is pleased to welcome Lisa Caputo to the organization as operations director.  A Belmont resident, Caputo joins the NH Humane Society with extensive experience in the animal welfare sector, serving in leadership roles throughout the country. 
“We are thrilled to welcome Lisa to our team,” said Tony Matos, president of the NH Humane Society Board of Directors.  “Her range of experience in a variety of environments all over the country have provided her with extensive knowledge and new perspectives that will greatly benefit our organization.  Every animal and the story behind them is unique, and we are confident that Lisa’s experience will greatly benefit our team as we work together to achieve our mission of finding responsible and caring forever homes while advocating for animals who cannot speak for themselves.”
Prior to joining the NH Humane Society, Caputo served as the director of operations for the Manchester Animal Shelter and before that, as animal care manager.  Caputo was the adoption manager at the Upper Valley Humane Society and shelter manager at the Delaware SPCA.  She has volunteered with the Sussex County Chapter of the Delaware SPCA and was also a disaster relief volunteer during Hurricane Katrina.
Caputo’s operational experience includes recruiting and developing staff, fundraising, disaster relief and creating and improving shelter policy.  She also has experience assisting with animal training, intake and adoptions.  Caputo earned her Bachelor of Science in Finance from Bentley University and participated in the Animal Rescue League Summer Institute Program.
