Sarah C is our volunteer of the month for November. Sarah began her volunteer experience at the shelter just 2 short months ago, but has already become an integral part of the team. Full of energy and always cheerful, Sarah volunteers her time working with the cats, in the social rooms and lobby. Sarah has also had additional training in an enrichment program to help the very shy and fearful cats learn to trust and accept people, getting them that one step closer to their forever home. The Gilford High School French Club raised $130 at their annual Halloween costume contest and voted to donate the proceeds this year to the New Hampshire Humane Society.  The French Club is comprised of 30-40 students, grades 9-12, and overseen by advisor Louise Jagusch. Read More

The New England Wolves junior Hockey team ran a pet food and supply drive at their home game on November 23, 2016 and delivered the results to the shelter this week. The team toured the facility and spent some time with the animals as well. Thank you to Coach Andrew Trimble and the team for the efforts in support of the animals this season. Read More
